The team at Riverside Holiday Resort Urunga on the NSW North Coast are still celebrating their Bronze Award win for the Self Contained Accommodation category at the Australian Tourism Awards 2021.
These national awards bring together the best of the best of the Australian tourism industry, and it was an honour for Riverside Holiday Resort to be amongst such a high calibre of finalists.
Held on Queensland's Sunshine Coast on Friday the 18th March 2022, this was the first nationwide get-together for the tourism industry since the 2019, after the 2020 awards didn't proceed due to the Covid pandemic.
The 2021 Awards saw 200 Gold-winning State and Territory Tourism Awards finalists go head-to-head in 25 tourism categories in what was an evening of revelry, celebrating the resilience and extraordinary achievements of tourism operators during the past two challenging years.
Resort Manager Rebecca Beaton, and Club Holiday Resorts FCSWC CEO Ken Conway attended the Awards night with their wonderful partners Bo and Beth after Riverside won Gold Awards for Self-Contained Accommodation and Excellence in Accessible Tourism, and entered the Hall of Fame, at the recent NSW Tourism Awards 2021 that were held virtually in February 2022.
The Qantas Australian Tourism Awards 2021 Self Contained Accommodation category saw Riverside winning the Bronze Award following the incredible Tree Chalets Busselton WA and Pinnacles Resort Airlie Beach QLD who took home Gold and Silver respectfully.
